Examination

During your check-up at our Sunnyvale dental office, our dentists will examine your teeth and gums to determine whether you need further treatment such as root canal surgery or filling replacement.

Hygiene

Periodontal (gum) disease is the leading cause of tooth loss among adults. For this reason our staff counsels our patients about the importance of gum health and the prevention of gum disease. We offer prophylaxis (teeth cleaning) during which our hygienist will clean your teeth and gums thoroughly and remove much of the plaque buildup in your teeth.

Digital Radiography

X–rays of your mouth will allow the dentist to have a more in-depth examination of your teeth. Digital imaging means less radiation exposure, faster image development, and fewer chemicals used to develop the image.

TMJ Relief

Fifteen to 25 percent of the population is affected by disorders of the temporomandibular joint in the jaw. Sufferers often feel pain that can radiate from the jaw to other parts of the upper body. The dentist can diagnose the patient′s problem and recommend treatment based on his examination.

Sedation Dentistry

Many patients are very nervous about being in the dentist′s chair, even in the soothing atmosphere of our clinic. In this case, they can choose among different types of sedation: nitrous oxide (laughing gas), intravenous sedation, and oral medication.
